Syamak Moattari (Health Sciences) is the author of the book Campaigning Against Breast Cancer (published on October 30, 2013 by SEPAS).

The book is a comprehensive toolkit on how to raise awareness about breast cancer among women in Farsi-speaking countries, including Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikstan. It provides epidemiological and treatment information in addition to materials on support and on survival for women with breast cancer and their families, advocacy and assessment methods for developing health campaigns as well as examples of successful programs are included. It concludes with resources and tools.

Moattari also was interviewed by Radio BBC in London (Persian Services) on the topic of Tehran air pollution. He has been interviewed many times as a global environmental health expert and activist. This interview was prompted by a recent air pollution situation in Iran, which led to the closing of public offices, banks, schools, and universities.
